EAGLE – what a good read I could not bear to put it down. My housework suffered. It was the last thing I did and the first thing in the morning – must read more. When is KINGDOM going to be published – I really cannot wait.

Looking forward to part 2 of this trilogy. I read Eagle in less than a week, couldn't stop reading it, it kept me awake till the small hours of the morning. Wonderful book, wish it never finished…missed it. Thank-you Jack for such a wonderful book. Keep up the good work.

My compliments on "Eagle" I thought the quality of research and the interweaving of fiction with fact was excellent. True also of "Siege". Like you I have an affinity to naval history, ie C S Forester and all who follow in his footsteps, especially since my own career started in the Merchany Navy. My greatest pleasure in retirement are reading books by authors like yourself. Regards Brian Field. (Now living in the shadow of the Humber Bridge).

Thanks to everybody for all the positive feedback. You'll be happy to know that I've sent KINGDOM off to my editor, and have received the artwork for the jacket. KINGDOM was great fun to write, and contains a few twists that even surprised me. When I know the official release date, I'll post it on my site.

Really good read and the historical note at the end was helpful to distinguish fact from conjecture. I was reading this book till the early hours every morning and can't wait for Kingdom.

I picked the book up on the off chance, and what a great decision. I found myself reading this until the early hours every night, the book is seriously compulsive! Can't wait for the next installment.

Hi Jack: I checked out Siege from the HP library and enjoyed it immensely. It turns out the copy was donated by your grandfather. Both my children are at MIS and will go to HPHS in the next few years. I look forward to reading your other and future work.

Eagle was a great book. There was also a rather nice build of character which is rather rare for this kind of novels. I can't wait till the second novel appears. And don't you dare killing poor John because I like him too much. I'll come over to where ever you life and spank you (I'm not serious of course). Well done.

Hi Jack. I have just finished reading 'Eagle'. Phew! what a read, I could not put it down. Just as good as 'Seige'. I can't wait for the sequel to find out what happens to John. Keep up the good work, Shirley.

The wait won’t be too long, Mike. The next book, KINGDOM, will be out on 29 March 2012. If you want a sneak peak, then you can check out the paperback version of EAGLE, which is due out 10 November. Chapter 1 of KINGDOM will be included at the end. And Chris, I’m glad you enjoyed the book! Hopefully Cate and I will be able to visit you and in Colorado soon. All my best to Amy and Raya.

Hey, Jack! I just finished Seige and I wanted you to know that I am proud of you for writing a book that kept me wanting to read more. This was the first non-fiction read for me in over ten years, simply because Amy ordered your book from someplace and next thing you know it is in my living room. Keep up the good work and say hi to Cate for us. Chris
